The ‘Check-in’ program is a ‘stepped model of care’, offering a suite of services for young people aged 12-25.  The Check-in program is delivered from ‘Frontyard’ which is a large youth service located on King Street, Melbourne also a part of Melbourne City Mission. This is a new ‘wraparound’ style of program delivery and has been funded for an initial 12 month period. The Check-In program being co-located with other youth services means that the program is able to provide a ‘one-stop-shop’ for young people, enabling them to access support for housing, mental health, education and legal assistance, among others. We have been engaged to undertake an evaluation of this pilot program to ascertain what works well, how it meets the young person’s needs, and what could be done to improve service delivery going forward.
