Angelika's degrees in philosophy, social theory and social work underpin her work as an educator and researcher in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies.

Angelika’s research explores the potential of policy as an instrument of social change by investigating how contemporary social and public policy and practices shape human and social possibilities.

Her research projects take the form of interdisciplinary case studies of these policies and practices. These case studies involve a critical analysis of the theoretical premises and empirical analyses of outcomes of policy settings. Angelika’s work has an emphasis on higher education policy and practice, sustainability, and theorising social change.
