Dr Marietta Martinovic

Marietta is a lecturer in Justice and Legal who focuses on prisons, innovative learning programs and advocacy.

Marietta’s research interests include electronic monitoring, incarceration and teaching in prisons. Marietta has been successfully delivering the first Australian Inside Out Prison Exchange Program at two Victorian prisons. She has since continued taking university students to learn amongst prisoners and has been doing advocacy work in prisons and is currently in the process of publishing the outcomes of this work in prisons.

She completed her PhD in 2013 on electronic monitoring and was the winner of an RMIT University Doctoral Research Excellence Prize.
