The project aims to develop Indonesia’s knowledge sector, specifically the capacity to develop and use knowledge to inform policy development.
This project involves activities to develop:
- The supply side by funding and providing technical assistance to a number of policy research institutes in Indonesia
- The demand side by supporting government agencies to improve their ability to commission and use research evidence in policy making
- Intermediaries, for example, think tanks and media organisations
- The enabling environment, for example, procurement and recruitment regulations which make it difficult for government to engage with university researchers.
